Breathing

If you aren't breathing right, you feel tired and stressed.

Your body becomes more susceptible to health problems. & your voice may be strained.

With more energy from good breathing, athletes know the competitive edge it gives them.

Breathe in slowly through your nose and out through your mouth.

To see if you're breathing correctly, put your hands on your lower abdomen and blow out all air. Then inhale slowly and deeply through your nose.

Let the air you breathe in push your stomach out.

Make sure your stomach does not move in when you take that deep breath.

Exhale slowly through your mouth.

Practice breathing deeply from your diaphragm.

For extra relaxation, slowly count to six while you inhale through your nose. Hold your breath for four counts. Then while you slowly exhale through your mouth, count to six.

If you don't breathe correctly, you'll only get enough oxygen to function at a minimal level. Take time each day to learn this good habit so you'll have more energy and health.
